I have dedicated so many posts to Nicky and her growing up years. Tonight is mostly about Chandler.
I’m excited for him. His teacher encouraged him to try out for a singing part in the school concert and he got the part. He is one of 8 boys to be picked. Only 4 were picked from 5th grade. He’s nervous, but I can tell he’s also proud/excited to have been chosen.
The other thing, he attends an after school program two nights a week and the woman who teaches the Bible lessons has asked him to help teach them. So, starting next week, for the next couple months or so (till the end of school) he’ll be not just participating, but actually helping to teach the lessons too. Pretty cool.
I found out the other day that he’s invited a lot of kids to join him at “The Rock”. He has some real natural abilities that are starting to get tapped into. I think it’s going to be pretty cool watching him grow over the next few years. I guess that’s it. I just wanted to brag a bit!

Nicky’s big thing right now is Track. She was healed of her asthma & allergies at church camp last year and this year is very happy to have joined our track team. It appears to be a good fit. She loves running and has decent time for a kid who’s had 0 sports conditioning up to now. She keeps increasing her time also. So, I’m looking forward to watching her meets.

I knew Nicky was a singer, but I didn't know Chandler was. To be one of the few selected is an honor.
Running is probably one of the healthiest things a person can do. That was a great idea for Nicky to get involved with that.
I love hearing how great the kids are doing.
