No one can accuse me of procrastinating! Our taxes (Fed, MO, and KS) are all completed and e-filed. I was waiting on a form, but did some further research and wahla....finished. I thought it would take a lot longer this year, with me "owning my own business". But I got it all done in a reasonable amount of time.
I think all the different tax programs are cool. I love the plug in play, especially Turbo Tax. I went with that one this year and it's proved to be worth while. I am looking forward to reading the information it has. There are some great learning tools with it, well worth the purchase price.

You didn't waste any time! I think we will wait a couple weeks, because we are always surprised with a late form that we didn't expect from GCCU or an employer from three years back or something like that.
I believe that most companies are required to have their W2's and etc. postmarked by the end of January. I was surprised by the 1099-R that I received in the mail on Friday. It was my 401K rollover. I had forgotten about that.
I love all the tax software out there. We used TaxCut last year and will probably use it this year.
Yeah, I just know all my forms so I start looking for them January 1! I know that they have till the 31st but usually ours are all here by the 25th. I did think I was going to have to wait it out, until I found the last form I was waiting on in Dust's emails! It was sent to him via email Jan 14th!
We used TaxAct last year, it was okay, but I've heard a lot of good things about Turbo Tax and the people I work for have a lot of rental properties and they own their own business and they use Turbo, so I figured if it worked for them with all they have that it would handle mine fine. I actually tried a free one online on Thursday night, but it didn't have the home daycare code and deductions walk through that I needed.
How did you get access to my email???
AHHHHHHHH, I ALWAYS DO THAT! pbbbbst dust. It took me a long time to get what you were saying! (Could be cuz the med I'm taking for my achy bones?!) But still.... I got it from DASH'S email....pbbbbsssst again.
Vernal used Turbo Tax last year and was quite happy with it.
