Black hole

I found myself in a black hole tonight. Cman had an eye exam scheduled for 5pm. No big deal right? Get in, Get out, pick up glasses tomorrow. If only life were that simple.

He went in and about a little over an hour later we were shopping for his new glasses. We took a while, no one would wait on us, they were "busy". Then we called another location, waited some more to pay for the eye exam and then left. By this time it was almost 7pm. We hadn't had dinner. The plan, go to the location--drop off the prescription and grab Wendy's on our way home to dash and N.

We went to 2nd location. Shopped. Found the glasses we wanted, went to do the paperwork and they said, "we're sorry we can't fill this prescription here." By this time it was about 7:30.

We jumped in the car to go get dash and N who were going with us to the 3rd location, so we could all go out to eat when it was over (we also did this so I wouldn't have to drive anymore, my leg was bothering me, and I was tired.) We arrived at the 3rd location and let me tell you calling ahead is a blessing! We did not have to shop. They had one pair there from the other location and they found the second pair while we were driving there, just in a different color! We actually liked it better! We finished the paperwork, headed out the door and by about 8:30 we were sitting in Bob Evans for dinner.

The only plus side to the whole night was Bob Evans. They messed up our order so we got our meal for free!

I got home at almost 9:30. It was almost 10 before the kids were in bed (a late night for them). I sat down and by 11 I realized, I am really not feeling good. I still didn't get to bed right away, but I figure I'll try to make up for it tomorrow night, after all I only have to go to one eye place tomorrow night!

Isn't it cool when God works thing out like that at Bob Evans? Kind of rewarding your for patience well spent earlier....

Glad you got Cman his glasses! His world is just opening up to him!!! Be ready to listen to the exclamations and discoveries! =D

Yes, I remember when I wore glasses for the first time, I was suprised at how crisp everthing was. I could see leaves on the tree. - I forgot about those days.

I bet C-man is going to look nice in his glasses. Is he bummed about having to wear glasses, or is he ok with it?

He's kind of inbetween. He was excited, then he saw himself and he told Nicky "I do NOT look good in glasses." But I think he does, so I told him he did and he's trying to trust me on that one!

I guess it's the cool thing to be the kid wearing glasses in school now.
