Day 24

Romans 1:16.  I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This verse makes me wonder, how many of us are ashamed of the gospel?  Paul was eager to go preach to the Romans.  Is there a reason I am not eager to share the gospel?  I think there is a fundamental flaw in the way Christians are raised.  If we are taught as kids to avoid "sinners" not just the sin then why as adults would that magically change?

I think we often hide from the world and in doing so we have removed ourselves from opportunities to share the gospel.  If I love and accept everyone equally shouldn't I find a way to share the gospel of Christ more?  Why hoard this gift?  But as Christians, we have a lot of hoarders.

God I pray for a boldness to hear your voice and to share you with others. Help me to not let shame or fear get in the way of your will.
