It's really been 5 months

It has been five months since I last blogged. We are in a pretty busy time of our life. I don't have time to just sit and write for a while. Keeping in touch with everyone via facebook certainly has changed my blogging too. Here are a couple highlights regarding the kids. Nicky is still working at IGA. She's been there since last July. It seems to be a good thing for her. She's doing well in school. Still working to maintain her academic honors status. She's growing spiritually and the more she shares, the more I realize that she's maturing too. Chandler is about to become 13. :) This means that what Nicky is transitioning out of, he is transitioning into! He is doing well and also working, trying to drum up more lawns to mow. He helps around the house (they both do, but he is getting more work as he is the one who is here the most). He also is growing spiritually. Yesterday was a great day for me as a mom. I was on the phone with him and said "pray for me that I get a lot done in s ahort amount of time." I had a project that took longer than I expected so I was behind in my work. We hung up and he called back and said "would you like us to pray together, I know you like that" and when I said yes, he prayed for me! Pretty cool. Other than that, we are working and doing volunteer work and parenting and well, no time left to blog! Actually today I had time because Chad and I are going to a Royal Ranger training event in KY but he is working for a little while this morning first. Yes, he finally has me helping him in an official capacity with Rangers. (Not in the class room...yet). He's trying! Oh well, I guess eventually it was bound to happen. He's going to become a board member rep for the food pantry I'm secretary/treasurer of, so we're working out how to work together in our individual ministries. It's a new step for us, but it's a good one. Sadly, we have given up Sunday School at this time. There's a lot of reasons behind it, but we're sad to not be involved in it any more. I hope God opens up opportunity for it or a small group again. It was our decision to quit, but I've learned and grown so much over the years from Loves Command and the class at our church (Faith Builders), I am sad to see it come to an end. Well, I need to finish packing. Cya.
