Thanksgiving is next week. I’m looking forward to the holidays this year. Chad and I are both taking off quiet a bit. It’s nice to have so much time together. We’ll be making a trip to Springfield to see his family. My sister is coming to Indiana, so for Christmas we’ll be home.
The kids decorated the house this past weekend. I like Christmas decorations. They are cozy. Something about it makes me feel like I should be curled up on the couch with the lights out, hot chocolate. I use to just sit and stare at the fire when I was younger and just enjoy the silence.
I wish I had a fireplace. Silent firelight moments are precious.
I’m ready for Christmas! We are getting ready to teach a 3 week Christmas series. Christmas is about Celebration, Salvation, and Restoration!
Keep it Simple, Keep it Real. I loved growing up on a "dirt road" It's awesome to live on a farm where you can take long walks and soak up all of God's creation. Nothing in the world is better then being on the farm and having nothing to do but "sit on the porch with God."

I am in no way ready for Christmas! I don't think I'm ready for Thanksgiving yet. :)
Sounds like a good series. Would love to hear it.
I wasn't really enthusiastic about Thanksgiving because it was a missionary retreat and much to my chagrin I had a good time after all. Just did part of the Christmas decor today. I'm trying to work on my attitude about Christmas -- we aren't going home which is okay, but it's making me think about why I do all this. It's good for me! I like cozy and I love fireplaces, wish we had one too!
