Steps

A few months ago, I decided to start taking some classes through Global University.  I’m going to get a “church ministry” diploma.  Chad is in the process of submitting his paperwork to take classes also.  They have a leadership training course through Royal Rangers that he is going to take.  It’s the same classes that you can take to become a pastor, but you don’t have too.  At this point in our lives, unless God provides some miracles, we don’t see our selves in Full Time ministry for a while.  But we’ve both always felt that God will use us this way eventually.  So, we’re taking some classes towards that path.

God will lead and direct.  Nothing will change right now, but Moses (as Chad taught today in Sunday School) was a shepherd for 40 years before God opened the door for his ministry.  Maybe we’re in our “shepherd” phase?  We don’t want/expect God to lead us to be pastors, maybe God will just strengthen the way he currently uses us?    We certainly don’t have specifics like God gave Moses in Exodus 4:21-22

21 The LORD said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. 22 Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son,

but we do have a peace that now is the time for this step.  Our lives are a series of steps and we are once again, just moving “one step closer to where he wants us to be.”

----

One step higher
He's moving you up the ladder
Sometimes the pain is deep
Sometimes there's no relief
Let go
So
He can move you up again
And as you learn to let Him in
Give Him you all and you won't fall
Your eyes will open-You’ll start hopin’
And In the the end-you will learn
He's moving you one step higher
To where He wants you to be***

You're actually one step ahead of Moses at this point. When God called him he said, "No."

That sounds exciting!
