Mom

I just have to say it again. I LOVE being a mom. Today I had to take the day off work to take the kids to the doctor. I like my job, but it was nice to have both kids with me, even if it was just to see the doctor. Nicky has a severe spasm in her neck that is going to take a week or so to heal. Chandler has ear infections from the hot tub on vacation. They are both "functioning" even though they don't feel great, so they went to church tonight.

Because pain medication does wonders, we were also able to go out for lunch and shop for Nicky's Friends dress. Once dad's seen it and approves then we're good. But we did go ahead and buy it because it was on sale! YAY. All the shopping for friends--done! We also went to the grocery store, which was a bit much for all of us, but we managed.

Nothing super fun planned, and nothing super fun done. Just a day with the kids. But it was a nice day. Chandler sang into his glass bottle (from his green tea) "my mom's the best mom ever" even after spending two hours in the mall following Nicky and I looking for a purple dress, and getting nothing in return. I figure if he can feel that way after shopping with us, then he's pretty much the best son ever! :)
