Launched

Last week our church "launched" it's website: www.lintonag.org. We also launched our pastor's new blog www.lintonag.blogspot.com

The website was a bit of a challenge for me. It took me a long time to find a template that the pastor and I both liked. I was working with one for a while but between what he didn't like about it and what I didn't like, it didn't work for our church.

The company I ended up going with e-zekiel.com has some great choices for what we wanted. It's clean and simple and the template works a lot like blogger, once you figure it out, so I can change background colors and fonts at mastheads, change mastheads etc.

Even though there are a few things we'd like to change, ie-we want to add more to our resource pages, for the most part we are happy with the blog.

Dash was a huge contributor with ideas and re-writing/organizing the 16 fundamental truths to be in the format we asked for (check it out).

Now that we have it launched I just have to keep the website updated with pastor's weekly devotionals, the updated calendar and bulletin and any events that need to be changed. I hope that we maintain a good website, one that is a useful tool for the congregation and for others interested in finding out more about our church.

We've already had some response through the "contact us" page, so people are finding us! It's nice to be online.

I'm glad your church is online. It's a nice way reach out to more people. Our pastor puts his sermons on itunes. That way you can still catch it if you miss Sunday.
