Here are a few things recently that have made me realize I'm "not so young" anymore.
5. My daughter is one of the workers for VBS.
4. My son is helping out with puppets for VBS.
3. I am 12 years older then our youth pastor.
2. Our youth pastor is 10 years older then my daughter.
and finally
1. The youth pastor's wife referred to me as a "nice funny lady" to my daughter.
Yes Dash--WE are that old! :)

"Nice Funny Lady"...that's hilarious! Yes, you are both...but just funny to hear it phrased like that!
Sooooo...when one of my managers asked where I was going last week, I mentioned I was going to see my "baby sister". He asked why I called her "baby sister". I explained I had a Sister-3 yrs younger, Little Sister-15 yrs younger, and Baby Sister-20 yrs younger and that I could be her mother!
He actually choked on his appetizer when I told him she was 17...he said he really thought I was 24 years old (ironically, that's the age of his own daughter).
The funniest part was when he came for his interview, I swear I thought I was OLDER than HE WAS!!!
It's ALL a matter of PERSPECTIVE ~ I choose to be YOUNG, nice, and funny lady! =)
If I recall, you are about my age, T?? I am pushing forty at my birthday next month so I know how you feel. But with age comes wisdom, right?
No one is getting younger.
Yeah, it is all perspective.
Age seems to creep up on me. I would be content to stay my current age for the rest of my life, I think. Not sure how to put that into practice.
I like your phrase "not so young" as opposed to o l d.
Being referred to as a "lady" might make me feel "not so young" either.
Not the dreaded "lady" ! Oh no! No one calls me Senorita -- I"m always Senora.
