General specifics

I am working on a project for work. I need to get my creative thoughts going. I have to do a write up for our welcome packets. The write ups will be featuring our ministries here at the church. I will also be working on a website for the church and using some of the same write ups (hopfully) I may need to be more specific on the webpage, we're still in the brainstorming ideas on it.

There has to be a balance. You want the information to seem fresh but be able to last over a long period of time. So it needs to be general enough to accomplish this but specific enough to be informative and helpful. I've looked at a few other churches info and I'm trying to pull some ideas together from that.

I hope that this comes together soon, but I have total writers block right now.

Bummer

I understand writer's block. I hope your creative juices start flowing shortly.

I know what I would be typically looking for in looking at promotional materials for a church. What kind of people are the church targeting and what kids/family programs are there. I might be a little different from most people on that, though.

I wouldn't strain too much over it. I would look to see what other churches have done for inspiration.

Dust is right, that is what I would look for too.

Short, sweet, and to the point is always nice. : ) Good luck.

Short is always good advice. Don't sweat the website so much because it can be changed in a few minutes when necessary. The printed stuff is more long term. I had block on a script for BGMC. It's done now. Not sure it's funny but it's done. Sometimes done is enough.
