I wrecked our van. We were all in it, we are all okay, I'm still a little sore, but not like I was at first. We all walked away. However, the van was totalled. The short version of the story, I got over to avoid another vehicle on a county road that has no lane markings. I was at a place in the road that has some concrete over a drain and hit the concrete with my tire(the concrete is low to the ground and hidden by grass). After hitting the concrete we stayed on the road for a few yards, I proceeded to put on my brakes. We are not sure if the axle broke upon impact or when the tow truck drug the van out of the water. Yes, we landed in about 2 1/2 feet of water at the bottom of a 6 or 7 foot ditch.
We're just thankful we all walked away. The van was totalled and yesterday dash and I went and bought a 2005 Chrysler, Town and Country, Minivan. It's very nice and fully loaded and then some. We got a good deal because we drove to Indy to buy another vehicle that was suppose to be a caravan like our old one, but it wasn't--that's the nice version. So when we issued our "concern" about that vehicle the manager brought this one out and if it was bait and switch it worked, we got it for $300 more then the one we went there for but it's value is $3,000 higher, so I'll take it!
I love finding great deals on vehicles. I wish we had not wrecked, but at least something nice came out of it.

At least everyone is alright and no one else got hurt. Sounds like a good deal with the van, so I guess things worked out.
It would be best if you had a safer way of getting a new van, but it's exciting that you got one with all the amenities. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt.
Some of the "features" of the van will take getting used too ...
Dash's Don't Forget List:
1. Don't call it a Caravan ... just 'van'. Calling it a Town and Country somehows seem vain.
2. The rear gate can be opened from the inside. So watch your head when standing behind 'the van'.
2. Opening or closing either side door the old-fashioned way (by hand) is somehow bad for 'the van'.
3. I can no longer make semi-snide comments about 'those' people with built-in DVD players.
Sorry to hear about the wreck. I am glad nobody was hurt. Sounds like a sweet van!
Dash, was that miscount an intentional or unintentional way of turning four points into three? :)
Yes, I do believe you have 4 points there Dash. Car accidents are scary. I am glad you are all ok. A built in DVD player? Nice. We finally weaned our kids off the DVD in the car by letting them use BB's ipod for when they are really getting on our nerves.
Whoa! Glad there was a ahappy ending to that story. Can't believe you turn a wreck/replacement around that fast!
I honestly didn't catch the extra "2" in my list .... must have been my repressed fear of the number "4" rearing it's ugly head.
