Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy

Does anyone else remember this Saturday Night Live sketch? I would watch and look forward to these moments! They were very funny.

I watched a movie recently that stated at the end, "how is it that I still have so much to learn." This movie did a good job of showing the journey of this man who was broken and how through something as minor as a journal writing class eventually he realizes that he needs to learn more.

I'm a huge fan of constant learning and growth. I believe that I am never at my full potential. I like the idea that in 20 years my kids will be able to look at my life and say "remember when" and know that while I hold true to some constants in my life I am never willing to accept that I couldn't improve. I believe that "over time I've been like a rock. I am constantly changing a little bit at a time. Rain, snow, wind and other earthy elements may cause some erosion, or refinement at times, but I'm still the same rock." Deep thoughts by T. :)

Your thoughts are certainly "deeper" than Mr. Handy's:

If you ever fall off a building - make sure that you go real limp ... link a dummy. Because someone passing by below might catch you thinking, "hey - free dummy".

"I like to go to the schoolyard and watch the kids jump and shout. They don't know I'm using blanks."

There are some funny Jack Handy quotes out there.

I am always trying to improve myself, but that is more out of a feeling of necessity than anything else. You're definitely better if you're a fan of it.

If you're a rock, then you're a hard/solid thought.

Was Jack Handy the one that looked in a mirror and said often, and dog gone it people like me?
I remember thinking that one was funny. I sometimes tell myself that people like me when one person is having issues with me.
