Sunday Afternoon

It's Sunday afternoon. The kids couldn't stop talking about getting home to play outside. They managed to sit through dinner! Then as soon as they were done they were out the door! They are excited that the snow is still here to play in, but it's warm enough to be outside. They started building huts in the snow yesterday, but it got too late so they had to come inside.

Dash and I are playing on our pcs. I'm blogging and dash isn't! (What's new?) It's a "kick back and enjoy the moment" day. I love these times!

One year (when N was about 6) we were in Indiana and we got a good snow about 8 inches. She went outside to play and I figured she'd be in really quick because it was snow and it was cold. She stayed out there in the snow with her bucket and pail for sand and played for a very long time. It was so fun to look out and see her smiling and running around and making snowmen and just being content and having a ball! Memories. That's what these moments are all about.

This post totally matches with your blog name and theme! Next, you just need the rocking chairs on the front porch to go with it!

All you need is a nice glass of lemonade or iced tea!

It's nicer to enjoy the warmth. :) Have they been able to take advantage of our fifty degree weather?

I love Sunday afternoons. It is usually the one time that I don't "make" myself do anything. I read and read and read. It's the only day I really indulge myself. Sadly itineration zapped that. We are getting it back some here. We don't get home from church until 2:30 or later but there is no evening church, so no guilt about not feeling like going. Now I usually call my family on Sunday night too so it's a nice wind down of the weekend.
