The kids have been telling me for weeks that I should go on this show. They continually tell me as they are laughing that I'd win! I delight in making people laugh. But I delight the most in making my kids laugh. I do things with them that would not be as easy for me to do in front of others. I like to combine physical comedy with shock factor! I also like to take their own words and twist it around to make them laugh!
Whatever the technique I use I typically accomplish my goal....laughter.
I seem to be better at making my family (mom, sisters, dad, brother, kids...) to laugh then other people. I think there's a side of me that I can tap into with family that I am never quiet brave enough to divulge to others. I can laugh at myself with family for my short comings. They obviously know them as well as I do! I can say things or do things that I wouldn't want the world to view in just that way. I guess I think my humor is funny to those that love me because they know me so well that they know every aspect of me and not just that funny moment.
I would not be the world's funniest mom--I'm sure, but I'm glad that I have the ability to be a fun mom. That's something that both my parents were able to do. My mom had fun with us kids and so we laughed with her a lot and my dad and I shared the same sense of humor so he and I still laugh at things just the two of us!
Laughter is a good thing to pass down generation to generation!

I hope my kids pick up some of my sense of humor (not all of it however, that would be annoying). Humor is very important to have and has gotten me through some tough times
It's great that you have fun with your kids and your family.
Laughing with NJ is the best feeling in the world!
Laughter has got to be the best way to connect with your kids. It's at least the most fun.
Interesting about not feeling like people outside the family would get the humor as much. I think families do have personalities.
