Last October we signed up for the vision plan with Dash's work. The cards came in the mail while we were gone. I had them in my hand on minute and apparently they were trashed the next, because they disappeared. Instead of looking at my paper work, I checked Cigna online. I saw that the vision plan we had did not compute with what I thought I had signed up for. I had a copay and an exam every 2 years. That can't be correct, I signed up for no copay with exams and glasses every year? What's going on?
I called cigna, who referred me to another company who referred me back to Cigna. All confirming what I saw online, but stating that I did not have to have a card for that. Imagine my confusion, because I got a card and this was not the same plan I signed up to pay for.
Finally, I decided to pull out the paper work from last fall. Thankfully I still had that! I pull out the vision page. This is not Cigna, or the other company they referred me too, but this is the plan I thought I had. Great, did Citi do something screwy and now I have a lesser vision plan for the same cost? There's a website, I go online.
Sure enough, we're member of this vision plan. I check Cigna, We're apparently members of their vision plan too! So for the price of one, I have 2 vision plans to pick from for Cman, me, dash and N if need be. I guess we're covered now! :)
I would have never know this if I hadn't lost the cards in the first place. Now, I'm wondering if we've had vision all along with our medical and I was just too stupid to realize it? Looks that way. Oh well, it's all in the past now, so I guess it doesn't really matter much anymore.

If you can find a way to use both plans, that would be cool.
Vision is the one part of our health plan that I really don't like. Ours is similar to your Cigna plan.
I can understand the confusion regarding the card. We don't have an official vision "insurance" card either. Seems weird.
I wonder what type of vision coverage we have? And how on earth do I take advantage of it...oh wait that would be assuming we had one.
Glad, sort of, you lost the cards.
