Happy Ham Day!

Well, it's official. We in the Franklin household have decided that when we have ThanksGiving at our house, we will have Ham, not turkey! We all like turkey, we have it occasionally, but the ham was a BIG hit. Everything was GREAT! I can say that in all modesty because we all had fun working together on the meal yesterday.

We hung out, played spades, and cooked! :) Last night we had a fire outside and the kids played in the back yard while we sat and enjoyed the fire. Tonight we did that again, and they had marshmallows! We also watched Ice Age 2 with the kids tonight. I'm really getting spoiled with these long weekends at home with the kids. I am looking forward to seeing family at Christmas, but I'm glad that we have times like this for the memory banks with the kids too! :)

We have started the bidding with Spades, we introduce going NIL next. I guess it's onto a different game after that?!

So, the kids like Spades? That's cool. Enjoy the ham!

Ham on turkey day?!?! That sounds like heresy to me. :)

Sounds like this has been a good family weekend. Ours has been okay, but NJ has been a bit under the weather so that has changed things a bit.

They'll be better at Spades than us for sure! Ham? If you like turkey, why not turkey?? I love the traditional thanksgiving dinner (minus sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce for me personally).

I think that is cool that he is starting to blog already. What is his site called?
