Yesterday was dash's birthday. We are finally the same age again!:) We spent the day at Lake Paradise with his buddy C and his family. We fished and some of us swam and we kicked back and ate fun food. We watched fireworks on the lake and we ended the night with a game of Apples to Apples. (I won! :))
Dash had not been fishing since he was about the age of cman. So he wasn't sure he really felt like doing that. Cman caught 2 fish and after helping him he decided to get a 'day license' and join in. He wasn't sure he had made a good choice at first, he spent 1/2 the day without much luck. But he made up for it in the end. He caught 2 nice size catfish and probably 15 or more other small fish that he threw back into the lake. Some of which we actually thought he could keep (but they weren't the "big fish" so in they went!) He also had one that got away. It was large and by the time Mrs. C was there with the net he had broken lose and we all saw him swim away. :(
We all had a good time fishing. The little ones baited their hooks and cman caught 4 fish that day (all to small to keep...but still.) It was a fun experience to try out and good memories for dash for his birthday. Happy Birthday hun.

T left out the fact that I got to watch the fish being cleaned and then got to clean the big catfish myself!
That was certainly a new experience for me considering that I had started the day semi-grossed out at putting worms on the hook.
Happy B-day Dash. We miss you guys and are flattered that you have purchased Apples to Apples. BTW - don't use leeches for bait. You have to let them suck on your index finger in order to keep them quiet before you HOOK their little spineless bodies...
Feliz Cumpleanos to dash - uh, sorry without the little squiqqle over the n that means something unpleasant but take it in the spirit which I intended it. Sounds like you guys are having a fun holiday weekend.
Happy Birthday (late) Dash!
Dash, Dust, BB, and me are all married to older women.
I am confused with all these single letters for names. I didn't realize that Cman was married. Have we met this Mrs. C?
As I stated in my first sentence, we spent the day at the lake with dash's buddy C and his family...
which included his wife Mrs. C.
I wasn't confused! :)
So not only is your son, C, married, but he has a family too?
Wow when did this happen?
