Birthday Girl

Today N turned 11! She usually gets to stay home for her birthday, but I've missed a lot of work lately and it's a Friday so that's a harder day to make up school work. We compromised and she went to school with her new earrings on (complements of grandpa dan) and snickerdoodles! She also got to wear her Stars t-shirt, since she pointed out that she only needs it nice for one more awards night! After school we are taking back the dress I bought her (and so it begins) and letting her pick out her own shorts and tank top out fit (what I almost got her to begin with)! :) She did like the bathing suit I picked out for her! :) :)

We've got whole fruit at home for her for "after dinner" and dad is sacrificing and going to Fire Mountain (the old Ryans). It's a treat for N and me both because we like buffets--dash is NOT a fan.

She is growing up and this month has been a big one for her. She turned 11, she'll be a sixth grader in a few more weeks, she's been looking forward to that. She got elected to the Student Council Executive Board for next year by the current 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and we must not forget she worked and accomplished honor star! As I told her in her card, she'll always be a shining star!

In other news....cman offered and cleared the entire table last night after dinner for us. He also let N sleep in today when she said she wanted to sleep longer and fixed her breakfast AND lunch! :) It's nice to see him thinking of what he can do for her on his own! He too "grew up" some for her birthday! :)
