White dress

We will be searching for a white dress. N is finishing her NT reading today, which means other then some memorization she's ready to take her test to become an honor star! She's excited. We shopped some last night, online and in the store. We found a couple that we liked, but not well enough to buy yet. We did find one online that we liked real well, but I am sure we'll look in the store some more before it's all over.

Right now it's hitting me. We're buying a dress, which will require shoes and proper accessories. Then she's got the Stars retreat. I should have been saving up for this over the past 2 years! LOL. Actually it won't be that bad. We are looking for a dress that is classy looking yet something she can wear (every week this summer to church to get our money out of it!:)) Okay, maybe not EVERY week! But she and I both want it to be a dress she'll be comfortable in and can wear other then just the special occasion.

I have actually wore off on my daughter. She like the less expensive dresses and she said, "I'm surprised we're looking at these, I haven't even passed the test yet!" I told her she was close enough that I believed she would get it! She's worked really hard to get caught up. She admitted this week that she was able to read so much because she had gotten up at 5 am M-W. That's still 8 hours of sleep, so she was doing okay, but I can't believe she had done that without telling us! She said, "I just do better reading it in the morning when it's quiet and nothing else is going on."

Her 5 am runs remind me of when I was her age and I'd stay up after bed time to write. I can appreciate her self awareness that morning reading works better for her. Kudos for N and her continued progress to becoming an honor star!

They have the day off school today so N stayed home to read her Bible. She just called to inform me that she has read 6 chapters in Revelations and it's becoming her favorite book in the New Testament!

Keep in mind that she's read a lot of the Old Testament. She actually prefers the Old to the New. So to answer the question "what's your favorite book in the NT" was bothering her. She really didn't have one, she's very excited to be so interested in Revelations!

Great job N! I knew you could do it. How exciting that you are shopping for the dress! I have seen some "wearable" white dresses over the last 5 years as a Stars sponsor. The white dresses in the wedding dept. for junior bridesmaids tend to be more dressy. Good luck on finding the right dress.

It sounds like she takes after a specific drummer of dashboards.

she just get's one white dress from us right?

How bad is it that I'd be thrilled if she eloped half-way through er engagement. I want her to marry her perfect mate and I want the wedding to be special for them - not 200 people I barely know.

heck 200 people I do know! Do we know that many people? LOL. I'm not sure? But I have a feeling she's going to want to go all out for every occasion! AND that Dad will get her whatever she wants to make it special for his baby girl, I know mom will! :)
