Keep it Simple, Keep it Real. I loved growing up on a "dirt road" It's awesome to live on a farm where you can take long walks and soak up all of God's creation. Nothing in the world is better then being on the farm and having nothing to do but "sit on the porch with God."

Drive to work
Everyday I get up and go to work I have a choice. I could drive down Metcalf, Antioch, or Lamar. I could also go to I35 and hop on Hwy 69, but I never made that choice in the almost 2 years I've worked here. Mainly because I didn't think it would save me anytime. My drive to work it consistently 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic and lights. Today I made it in 18 minutes using Hwy 69. I was more hurried and not as laid back during the drive, so I don't think I will want to do it every time, but it's nice to know that I can make good time on the hwy if I need to shave a couple minutes from the drive.

roads that go striaght!?!?! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
highways are fast, but on the days that there is a jam - Oh boy!
Highways scare me. They do tend to be quicker, but I make sure that I leave in plenty of time.
One time Dust and I were going to church in separate cars. We did an experiment where he took the highway and I went Antioch. We both met at the 75th & Antioch intersection at the same time!
I go out of my way to use the highway. Nothing like going 75 on the way to the destination.
I have about 3 ways mapped out for getting to work...one is usually more faithful for me. But I have also learned what days I can take the highway because it does cut off about 6 mins off my 15-20 minute commute. (No, I am NOT complaining about only driving 10 miles one way...sure beats the 45-50 min drive I used to do one way)
Friday mornings are light traffic from all the people who worked late on Monday and Tuesday...and get to come in later or take Friday off completely!
