Ok, so last Sunday after going to lunch with friends we went home and had a pleasant afternoon/evening with the kids. They created their vtines days boxes. Cman made an elephant and N made a "goldfish's vtines day." Afterwards dash came out with his and cman's gifts for N and me. N got a cute little dog. I got a heart pendant necklace curved to match my wedding rings with Emeralds and Diamonds to match my emerald ring! (Good job dash:) ) Not every Vtines, but once in a while I get jewelry. This time I didn't even pick it out and I got to be pleasantly surprised!
On Monday I woke up to find out that my mom was in the hospital. Most of you have heard the update probably through church by now...but the short version is this: She has "rapid heart beat" and this week will have a catheterization to see how bad a blockage is or if it's a heart defect and then there's a respiratory problem too.
Mom is very active and always has been. She's suppose to out live us all, so this is really hard for her to have to go through so many tests and to not feel or be well right now. But the doctor said it's her dad's fault and she's trying to learn to be a good little patient! :)
The rest of week is a blur. I drove my mom nuts as dedicated sitter while dad was out of town working trying to keep insurance and his job. That was after her roommates in the hospital drove her nuts, so I think I was a welcome distraction--I hope.
There were several events that I've considered blogging on like when my sister fired mom's doctor or when my sister and I went to our old college (ISU) and went the wrong way on a one way street, parked in a lot that we got a ticket at....drove around the campus looking into how to pay the ticket to end up where we began at...then almost hitting 2 dogs on our way out of campus! I could write about the roommates from Hades, or the lightening hitting the house and killing the modem and almost killing mom! But I guess I'll just keep those memories for myself and begin a new week. Thank you to those who knew about mom and prayed for her. See you back in blog land!

Well, some of us still might like to hear those stories! I DIDN'T KNOW about the ticket or the lightening...and that is after "catching up" until 4am on Saturday night...LMAO!
hey the 4 am thing was only because we did the late night movie first! :) I think it's the first time I was asleep before you! :)
What a week! Hope they are able to pinpoint the problem whether it is blockage or a defect.
Sounds like you and your sister had an interesting time. : )
Glad to have you back!
