Breaking up is hard to do

Ever notice how it's harder to get out of something then into it? I made a phone call today to cancel something that I no longer wanted and I was being pushed so hard that I welcomed the "let me look things up on your account and call you back later today." I will still cancel, I am sure. But this person was being relentless. I just want to cancel it. No, I don't think it will work for me. Yes, I understand that. No, I still don't think that will work for me. The thing of it is I worked for MCI and I am a marketing major. I know how to sell someone. I know the hard close she was going for. She was not happy that she didn't get me to wavier and I'm pretty sure she thinks she'll call me back and talk me into something, but I'll be home, not at work and I'll let her know politely that I tried her product and while it's a good product it's not right for me. If nice doesn't work--I'll have to switch gears. We'll see. I just wish people were sincere when they say "satisfaction guaranteed" and would accept if you weren't satisfied instead of trying to convince you that you can be after all!

Isn't it great when we have the "sales" background too? These people have NO IDEA what they are dealing with...LOL!

Canceling things can be a nightmare! Those kind of sales people really tick me off.

I used to hate calling SBC for anything because they would try to sell me something every time I called. I remember I called to shut down a phone line one time and they literally tried to get me to buy a new phone from them. Did they want me to hook it up to the line I just had them shut down?
