I like to ask questions. In fact, I probably am more inquisitive then most of the people I meet. I know I am more inquisitive then most of my friends. This works really well for me! I can ask questions, but I don't get asked a lot of questions in return!
A typical email from me to friends goes something like this:
Hi,
How are you? How's the family? How's the weather? How's your car? Did you ever get that problem fixed with it? Are you still working for...? Anything new happening there? I hope you are having a good day. Are you having a good day? Have you read x book?
Well....and then I proceed to inform....
We're good here, things are pretty much the same, except...cman said this the other day and N did this and then there's dash...:) Oh, did I ever tell you about ..? Well, I guess that brings you up to speed on my end! Hope you are doing well!
Once they have responded, I still am inquiring....
Wow, I can't believe you are pregnant again. How far along are you? Is it a boy or a girl? Do you have a name yet? You know how that happens right? LOL :) Glad you got your car fixed. So your oldest is in 4th grade now? When did that happen?
I'm shocked I still have friends! But you all still like me, right? I mean, you'd tell me if you had a problem with my questions, right? Does anyone else find themselves asking a lot of questions ever? Am I the only one this happens too? Okay, now I'm just having fun with you!

totally! I am a question asker. and when I get emails with questions I make sure I answer them. I will seperate their questions and put my answer underneath, like if you were to read a printed interview.
But when I ask questions, I usually get generalities back. Maybe they see it as me being nice and not really wanting a response????
I like it when people answer my questions back in emails. I usually ask questions also.
I can usually tell if someone is asking me a question just to be nice or if they truly care about me.
True communication IS two-way conversation...questions AND answers.
I so love this concept with my relationship with Christ. Prayer = Communing with God...which means its okay to ask God questions AND express our feelings (both positive and negative), as well as share our needs and gratitude.
(Sometimes He does the parent thing and just says "because I SAID SO!")
