Keep it Simple, Keep it Real. I loved growing up on a "dirt road" It's awesome to live on a farm where you can take long walks and soak up all of God's creation. Nothing in the world is better then being on the farm and having nothing to do but "sit on the porch with God."

High School Musical
I watched this Disney movie this weekend with my children. It's fun to make fun of cheesy musicals. As far of musicals go, I recognized with this one non of the songs stood out. They all sounded like the stereotypical "insert lyric here" pop song. It was okay to listen to, but not the "Reflections" song from Mulan or the "Cool Rider" from Greece 2, for that matter there wasn't even an "Let's do it for our Country" Song from Greece! I was actually thinking recently I haven't seen a good musical in a while and I found myself feeling that way still tonight. There wasn't one song in the whole movie that I will find myself or my children singing during the week. On a scale of 1 - 5 I'd give the movie a 2.5, maybe a 3.

Oh I see...you had to give the movie a Point-rating instead of a one thumbs up rating...LOL!
Yes, I like number ratings better. I always have. :) I find to much room for error in the thumbs up rating! Does one Thumb up mean you liked it or just that it was okay and 2 thumbs means it was great? OR is it just you like it or you don't?
Often with a movie I will like part of it but some of it will effect if it remains a 5 or if it drops to a 4 or 3. Then there's the occasional movie (like the one in this blog) I can't say I hated it. Because I didn't. But I am not "Wowed" by it either. It was just there.
I probably had more fun making fun of it then actually watching it. The first cheesy group song is done by the basketball team. "You got to get your get your get your get your head in the game." It would have been cooler if they didn't break into a pop solo in the middle of it, but Disney was trying to showcase their pop star Zac Efron.
"Let's Do it for our Country" is one of T's all time favorite songs movie songs. One of mine is "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No" from Oklahoma. What does that say about us???
I never said it was my favorite, I did think it was a funny song. But that is neither here nor there.
Was the name of the movie "High School Musical?
I am not a fan of musicals. The only song I know is, "I am 16 going on 17, some think that I'm naive." Sound of Music.
Vernal,
shhh, don't tell anyone, but I think I like musicals too! I didn't always hold this opinion, but they are growing on me. They are fun to watch. I was actually disappointed that this one didn't have a catchy song that stuck with me.
