different view

It's funny how shared experiences can change your view of someone or something. As I watched the apprentice last night I watched Rebecca. (The girl who broke her foot in the first or second episode.) I didn't like her much at first. She didn't seem to get along with the other women very well and was set apart. When she broke her foot she was upset that only one person offered to go with her to have it looked at. I can't relate to that because when I am sick or down I don't like to be fawned over. Don't get me wrong, if I need something, I'll ask for help, but initially I want to be left a lone. If I were in a setting without friends and family like she was, I would have gone a lone. So my impression of her from wanting others around was "what a wimp."

Now that I have a broken leg and I'm on crutches, I've thought about all the episodes I've seen her hop around and realized she doesn't complain. She's stepped up and overcome a lot of adversity, with the women and with her leg. I admire that. That's a tough one for me. I am trying to keep my spirits up and not feel sorry for myself and I'm trying to not ask to much of my family and I'm trying to not throw the crutches through the window and say to heck with it. Rebecca, who I didn't like at first, is now a role model for me to follow! I am trying to keep her in mind and not complain. It can be done!

WOW! What an insight...

I hadn't seen much of this season because of the boys' homework etc. But I did get to watch last night's episode...which I really thought was great!

I secretly was very glad to see a brunette win vs. the two blondes! LOL! PLUS, I also thought that both the blondes deserved to be fired because of the way they acted in the board room...FINALLY SOME JUSTICE IN THE WORLD! =D

You've missed a lot if you haven't seen this season. Trump has fired 4 people at once, then 2 and now 2 again! It's been a very good season. I really like this show and for the first time since season 2 I feel that either candidate will be good apprentices. (Although, I'm still routing for Randall to win!)

Just take it one day at a time. : )

You could make a video tape recording of yourself with your crutches and enter it to the Apprentice and say that Rebecca was your inspiration! : )
