Crutch hockey is a way to transport things that have fallen out of your hand onto the floor while walking from one room to the next with crutches. So far I've only experimented with two things.
the telephone. Yes, you can drop it on the floor and it will glide down the living room floor right into the kitchen and back --when you need it too! You must do short passes between crutches to not hit it too hard, the goal is to move it without carrying it, not break it!
a soda. You can also get a can of soda to move through the living room from the kitchen. I suggest that it not be opened first! And that you wait a while afterwards before opening it! I even took extra precaution to put a towel over it while opening it! It worked out, but not my favorite puck for crutch hockey. I'll keep you posted on things that work and don't work.

YAY! I look forward to the updates...they should be just as interesting as my "Things NOT to do while sporting and IV" post! =D
I would say the phone is most important...and maybe we should look for one of the soda-drinking-caps for you...so you can have two cans at your disposal! LOL! j/k
Remind me not to open any sodas at your house for the next couple of months. :)
I had no idea that you were having so much fun while I was gone!
:0)
By the way, I now have a good reason for not putting that area rug back down in the living room. The smushed carpet we found last night would be much better for hockey.
Just call me Mr. Zamboni .... and you know it's always the cool yet slightly aloof zamboni driver that gets the girl in all the ice skating movies.
... well except for "The Cutting Edge" - where the hockey guy got the girl. Still, he did drive the Zamboni at least once in the movie.
.... and if any of you out there don't know what a zamboni is, you need to watch more romantic ice skating/hockey comedys.
Way to make a game out of the situation! I can see where a pop can would be easy to play hockey with.
Dash has often complemented me with my "out of the box" thinking! When presented with a situation, "dropped item on floor--can't pick up and carry with ease." I decided to make the crutch an extention of me! I have flushed the toilet with it, shut doors with it, and picked up a shaw that was on another couch!
