People everywhere are on vacation, including my fellow bloggers. I've probably written more because I'm not taking as much time to read! I just thought I would give you a glimpse into right now at my home and see where the blog takes me.
I can here trucks outside in a distance. They've been working in our neighborhood for weeks now. They are trimming trees around the power lines. It's trash day, you can hear the trash trucks beep beep beep as is it goes through the neighborhood. The kids are in the back yard. They are talking and playing. I can hear them too, although they aren't so loud I can determine what words they are saying. They took out juice and a handful of cookies so they could be outside for a long time! :)
I'm on the couch in the family room. I've sat on this couch so much over the past few weeks that I'm sick of it. But what can you do? I sit on the love seat during the day for a change and venture into the living room occasionally too.
It was nice to get out and get to see my parents a few days ago, but the trip was not so good. My leg is improving, I can have it down for longer periods of time before it swells and gets painful. If the doctor sticks to his word I'll have the cast off in 6 days and be in the "boot". I still don't know what that means exactly, except I'm probably about 2 weeks away from being able to drive and get back to work. I wish that meant I was done with the crutches, but I think that I have to get use to them being around for a while. I told my sis it sounded like he was going to have me using the crutches even after I start putting weight on my leg, but I wasn't sure. She's a nurse and said that sounded right. I've been hoping I was miss hearing or understanding something. Oh well.
Back to this moment, I have "The View" paused. It's the first time in all these weeks I've sat and watched it. I like the banter at the beginning. It reminds me of me and my sisters. One person will mention one thing and we are off on other subjects completely without even trying! There's interrupting and "what about's" that take place. Makes me a little homesick. I love it when me and my sis's and my mom are all in a room going at it! We're all passionate and have strong opinions and usually we agree just enough to start a good conversation and then the disagreeing points come out! But it's cool. We don't argue as much as we "present our case." My parents have taught us to be independent thinkers and we are that! I'm shocked that they didn't get a lawyer out of the group! But non the less it makes for fun entertainment when we are together!
What else has been going on? My dad is learning computers for work. He turned 61 this week. Dash is his "support guy." We went down and got them online at home and dash has helped him with email and attachments and stuff. It's weird to have my dad and dash talking so much on the phone! But it's cool. I'm glad that dash is able to help him and I'm proud of my dad figuring this stuff out for work.
I guess that wraps up things here. I can either watch Gloria Estefan on the View or read a book. I may just sit and listen to the kids some more. Don't tell them, but one of my favorite pass times is listening to kids play. Not just mine...but especially mine. I learn about them, their relationship, how they communicate with others. It's awesome. PLUS, kids are pretty honest when they play. So they say some pretty insightful things! It's fun listening to little ones as their brain starts figuring stuff out. Discovery stage is so cool. So, even though N's discovery stage is slowed down right now, Cman is really taking off with his analytical side. He's also becoming more vocal, so you here him telling her more things and sharing the whys and hows from his view! Anyway, I do love to listen to them. Treasure these moments, I do!

Well....thank you for blogging enough for ALL of us...LOL! j/k!
I know how boring it is....I wish I could do something to entertain you...wait, maybe I did with my adventure story...LOL!
BTW, its a really good thing you have BOTH a couch and a loveseat! Otherwise, you wouldn't have any place to go...LOL! :P
I love listening to kids play too! It's so fun! Sometimes I'll take a nap on the couch and gaby will be playing right there on the floor with barbies or whatever she has in her grimy little hands at the moment and I'll pretend that I'm sleeping, but I'm really not and when she looks up, I'll close my eyes and when she's not looking and deep into her imaginary playing, I'm really watching and listening to her! I've done this with every one of my kids and it makes me just fall in love with them even more and more!
