Keep it Simple, Keep it Real. I loved growing up on a "dirt road" It's awesome to live on a farm where you can take long walks and soak up all of God's creation. Nothing in the world is better then being on the farm and having nothing to do but "sit on the porch with God."
It's Quiet... It's Peaceful... It's Simple... It's Real

Snow
It's the first snow of the year! How pretty. I find it ironic that only 3 days ago it was in the 70's and I had the windows open to my house! I like the snow, but I do not like the weather when it can't make up it's mind what season it is!
But wasn't it awesome!? Me and gaby were jumping up and down and the babies were so excited to see all the white stuff falling from the sky! Gaby ran out in her jammies and bare feet to open her mouth real wide and have the snow fall into her mouth! While all this was going on, Ty text-messaged me from school to tell me it was snowing because he knew I'd be jumping up and down like a crazy person! I love the first snow! It's so awesome and beautiful and perfect... and then it stopped... how sad for me.
May I ask the ones that LOVE the snow...do you know how to drive in the snow? Around here in STL, they don't know how to drive in snow and think they can still drive Interstate speeds at 70mph...which causes more accidents than even the rain. When it rains...they all go about 25mph (which still causes pileups).
But you may want to check in living in Alaska for a year so you can get your "fill" of snow! =D
Try that for about 8 years...then let me know if you will still Jump Up and Down...LOL!
In cleveland, we lived right on the lake so I am quite a seasoned driver on the snow. The lake brings tons and tons of snow... it's awesome. But...alaska? I could never do. I love snow just for a season... a couple months and then I get board of it. Except for snow days! Those are the best ever!
I was amazed at all the people in Nebraska of all places that were driving 2 miles an hour over a few fluries ... granted, it's gotten a lot worse since then; but still - I drive better than that in snow I'm from southern missouri!
Wow! Since OPK drivers are experienced in "inclement weather"...I will have to add that to my list of pros for moving from STL to KC metropolitan areas! T would LIKE that alot!!! (we get a LOT of ice here though)
Can you still get toasted raviolis over there?
Can I still be a Cardinal's fan? (I support ALL local hometown teams though) =D

How fun! Glad to have the snow in my mind's eye anyway.
and now it's gone. :(
Ya'll can keep the snow! I have had my share of snow for a lifetime....LOL!!!
I will tell the weather forecasters to keep it on the KS side vs. the MO side! =D

I couldn't believe it when I saw it! It started out as rain and then I looked closer and noticed it turned into snow.

It just snowed here today, not for very long and the ground was wet so it melted..but it was the first snow fall.
KS drivers do NOT know how to drive in the snow. It's annoying. I'm from SD, there people know how to drive. (That's about all they know, but...)
terri, great to hear from you. So you got snow too? Cool. Tis the season I supose!
