Camping again

We're going camping this weekend! YAY! It's the perfect weather (I would like to be a smidge cooler during the days...but the nights at 50/60 is AWESOME.) I am very excited that we didn't give into almost backing out because of all the rain. We have extra clothes packed and a BIG bag for dirty clothes since the trails should be squishy! (Just the way the kids and I like 'em!--Ever seen dash prance?!)

Along with camping this time we went through the "stuff" to organize it. We didn't take time to do it as we left the last time, so there were things misplaced. We're going to our ever faithful camp spot...which means it's becoming our home to get away from home! With all the stuff dash does on Sunday's we have to get permission usually to leave town--we are taking advantage of the "Birthday party" and getting a camp weekend in. I hope all that attend the party have a good time. We should be finishing a wonderfully dash cooked breakfast with eggs, sausage, salsa, hashbrowns, (cheese for the non allergic) just about the time "Happy Birthday" starts. I have to admit, that we're going to be back in time for the missionettes awards (a certain star wants to see her sash --for the whole 10 minutes that she'll have it!) I can only assume that most of the people reading this, won't be there to see her sash with her, so have a great weekend. Enjoy the party/service!

That sounds awesome you guys. I wish I was coming too! I can't wait till the boys get older. You guys are my inspiration for those activities. (some may even say the wind beneath my wings.)

Take your camera. I want to see pictures of Dash prancing. :)

I've never seen Dash prance. It seems only fair that if he has seen me prance, that I should see him.

Also, how'd you fair with the rain?

I saw N's badges listed on the screen tonight, but there was no N. She had earned the most badges in the group. Way to go, N!

Busted.

We got back later then we anticipated from our camping trip. N chose not to go.

She said she could have her own awards night at home and proceeded to tell us the badges she got. She also pointed out (Bitterly, I might add) that if she didn't go tonight her sash would be that much more safe for her when she FINALLY gets to keep it!

Surprised to hear how well she did in comparison. She gave us the impression that she only got 3 badges and hadn't done that well.

She spent time working towards her stars steps. She's not sure she'll make up what she missed by joining the group late, but is willing to make an effort. BTW, Golden, you might enjoy hearing that they are not sure if she'll have to spell the books of the Bible or not. That's really annoying her for that to be undetermined again...she was very happy with not having to do that!

It was the Missionette workers at Headquarters that changed the honor step regarding spelling the books about 1-2 years ago. There was a memo that Paula handed out to let us know that we didn't have to spell the books correctly, just say them or write them in order. Why are her leaders saying that they don't know? Surely, Headquarters didn't change the rule back.

N's understanding (she's been wrong before) is that they have told the class they have to spell it. It's written on stuff they gave her "and spell". I guess the class told them they didn't have too so their response to that was that they don't know yet if the class has to spell it or not.

If there was a memo, maybe in the switch with leaders that's been forgotten? Or maybe HQ has changed it again? I really don't know enough about the program, I just know that right now it's up in the air as to weather or not she'll have to spell them or not. Which really bums her out.
