Day 246

Miracles.  Even as Christians, we can find ourselves explaining away what some would call a miracle.

Tonight, we found ourselves in such a situation.  Chad's dad had to have part of his leg amputated.  His Blood Pressure shot up so high that they had to move him to ICU because they couldn't get it to drop.

When we found out, I told the kids and asked them both to pray.

About an hour later give or take, we got a call saying that his BP had dropped 100 points. It was 250/100 (according to what we were told).  Maybe moving him to ICU and getting the proper medicine was what did the trick.  The trick that hadn't taken place all afternoon or evening.  Or, maybe God answered prayers.  As I told my son, who sat concerned for Gpa, even when we can't be there, God can be.

That's what we believe, right?  So why not believe it?

As most reading this blog know, I'm certainly not a "call everything a miracle."   However, some things, I think we should give God His credit.  I like to think that if you have to think real hard to figure out the "how" maybe, you're thinking too hard.  Maybe there isn't a "how" to figure out, maybe there is simply a "who" to Thank.

So tonight, on Day 246 - I am thankful for answered prayers.  I'm thankful that Dan's BP came down and that assuming it stays that way, he'll be out of the ICU tomorrow and in recovery, where his body can start the healing process.
