The bush on the side of the house

When we moved in, there stood a large "bush" on the side of the house. The bush covered the house's corner. It was very large. We wanted to "trim" it a bit--or cut it out completely even. But my parents seemed to REALLY like the bush. They felt it made the house look nicer.

Here is a picture that my parents sent us last year before we moved in, it was taken June 23rd, 2007.

As you can see, the right side of the picture the "bush" is cut off. This "bush" grew so much in the past year that it was as tall as our gutters and the width went over into our neighbors yard at least one mowers width. It was over powering the house.

My dad said that he felt it was quiet large and if we wanted to do something with it, that would be okay. So, today we got up and went outside and started chopping. Here is a picture that is the same angle of the house, but taken a little further back.

Here is the pile of branches and leaves removed from the TREE in our front yard! :)

I let the kids climb on it so we could smash it down some. What a huge pile!

Here's my favorite picture of the TREE now! :)

I am not sure how it ever got labeled as a bush, except for the fact that the leaves were touching the ground! Anyway, that's not the case anymore! :) I like "the tree on the side of the house"--Now!

Big difference! I never thought you could mistake a bush for a tree.

As a kid, I was once told to go cut down a certain small silver maple at the corner of our yard.

I didn't do a very good job.

T and I later saw it as a 20+ foot bush the width of a winnebago.

The "tree" does look better with the haircut you gave it.

I agree. It looks much better. Looks like it took quite a bit of work.

We (I) need to trim the two bushes (trees) in front of our house soon too.
