30's

In response to Golden's blog I have some thoughts on my 30's.

This May I will hit 35. I will be at the 1/2 way point of my 30's. When I think of my 30's verses my 20's for me--I see growth.

I've learned to relax and have fun. I learned more about friendships in my 30's then I did in my first 29 years of life. I learned to accept myself flaws and all and I learned to accept that others could accept me--flaws and all.

I had both my kids in my 20's and was married in my 20's so no major changes there. Having a teenager is everything they say it will be, even when they are on their best behavior--that's something I didn't know when I was 20!

Life is good. Even when it's not. That's another thing I've learned in my 30's.

30's a decade of lessons. :) and FUN! :) But then again, I always did enjoy learning! :)

Oh goodness! JUST now hitting the half-way mark of your 30's THIS YEAR! What a youngin! :)

I don't even want to think about this year's birthday...def too close to 40 for ANY COMFORT LEVEL!!! :$

One does survive though...just wondering 40 truly is the NEW 20...cuz if it is...then we have a lot to look forward to after all:

The youth/fun of 20 with wisdom/experience of 30!

Sounds like your 30's have been good and bad, but you've learned to take life's challenges in stride.

If you do the math on what T is saying about freindships, you'll notice that the growth took place during our time in KC. We've both expressed to each other that we learned to "have" and "be" friends while we were in OP.

I attribute a lot of that to the great group of friends we gained while living there - we miss you all .... and we're better for it.

I know that I have learned a lot in the last few years. A part of me prefers fun to wisdom yet. :)

Dash, that is very nice to say.

I shared on Golden's comments too - I hit 40 a few months ago. It's such a grown up number! Many people told me the 40s were the best so I don't dread this decade (but what does that say for the 50s???).

I want to live in what I know is true but I don't always...God loves me, it's okay if everyone doesn't like, most people do like me.

I do like the sense that I have more heft behind my ideas for having lived this long and experienced so many things. I think the last couple years I've learned to see there's good mixed in with the bad stuff in life but you have to look for it and focus on that.
