I have found that I am a rare person who actually likes tax time. I enjoy doing my own taxes and I have assisted others with theirs from time to time. Since College, I have talked about taking the H & R Block class. I never looked into it until tax time and by then they don't have any scheduled. Last year, I signed up at tax time for information on the classes. About a month or so ago I got that information. I looked over it, dash and I talked about it and 6 weeks later I am starting my first class!
The class is 2 night a week, 3 hours each night. I will be in class from Sept to the end of November every Monday and Thursday evening. I am not guaranteed a job when I am done with the class, but based on your scores you have the option to apply to H & R Block and get better consideration accordingly. It's a slight risk, but even if it didn't pan out as a career, it can't hurt to have more knowledge on the subject. It seems to be a win-win.

I am very proud of you taking this step! You have talked about it since college and have always thought you would be great! It will be interesting to be back in "classes" again...but I am looking forward to that day when I start on my master's degree.
GOOD LUCK! You will do GREAT! :)
I think it's a good idea too. It's pretty helpful to know how to do your taxes. Hopefully you can get a job.
I hope you enjoy your classes! Good luck! I am sure you will do well.
I like tax time because we usually get money back. :)
I hope your classes go well. I go bug-eyed trying to determine the difference between Form AMT4082 Schedule A and Form AMT4082 Schedule B, so you'll do better than I would.
