I do not get ABC here. We have local channels with our satellite, but ABC does not have a local affiliate. So when checking the website out for shows that I like to watch on ABC and know I can get online I saw that Dancing with the Stars has just started!
I watched the first two episodes online tonight. The thing that amazed me is that one of the women dancing has a "bad back" and one of the men dancing has a disease as a child that had him in leg braces for 3 years. He still has problems with his legs clicking from the hip. Another man had hip replacement surgery (he's not that old either guys---) just 7 weeks before starting the show. How crazy is that?
I guess I am amazed at their determination and drive. I think it's pretty cool. I also love the people this season. They all seem to be very charismatic! It's a fun watch and reminds me of the old movies with Gene Kelly and the other dudes that dance real well! :)

Seeing people who have overcome so much sometimes makes me wonder why I don't have a bit more initiative. Then I realize that this sort of thinking is just too much work...
We have a Spanish version of that TV show here. I think picking people who have to over come an obstacle is a great hook for the reality shows. I know it makes me more interested.
I watched bits and pieces of the show. I think a lot of the ladies dresses were too skimpy. Too much cleavage. I prefer the ballroom type dancing rather than the salsa dancing.
