Dash and Chan were gone last night/today for a Royal Ranger Camp out. I called my mom up to see if she wanted to hang out with me and Nick. She agreed and yesterday afternoon we went to check on cows together. Just the three of us. We then drove around places my mom use to live and play when she was a kid. I had no idea that she grew up her little childhood years on farm ground-out in the country like that. She said her dad use to start walking to church (he was the pastor) in his suit with his Bible then they would finish getting dressed and pick him up on their way. He was the pastor. She said he always looked so holy to her!
She's told me childhood stories of long walks and days spent in the woods but we saw the woods! We drove the roads she use to bike on! I finally saw "Ivan's farm" a couple lived up the road and he would let her come up and through an ear of corn in to the pigs! She said she always felt like she was being so helpful!
We ended up at a restaurant none of us were thrilled with because of the long waits at all the other places, but we had fun there too! :) We laughed and cackled! Then we headed home and she had invited us to spend the night at her place, I said-we're usually up late. Then I told her, you could come to our place. She wanted me to help highlight her hair and I used that as leverage. So we stopped at her place picked up her stuff and by 10:30 we were starting her hair!
We ended the night watching Freaky Friday at midnight with her. I can't remember the last time my mom stayed up till 2 in the morning! We had a lot of fun and her hair turned out okay too! (We had never colored/highlighted before.)
Now that I know it's so easy....
Nah, I'd probably pick the wrong color and end up not happy with it! :) I'm way too chicken for that! Mom and N almost convinced me to allow N to get a Blond streak on the side, but I withheld the pressure. I can't believe my mom was on her side! :)

Most of my important conversations with my mom came late at night, after my dad was long asleep.
Sounds fun! I'm also chicken when it comes to dying the hair. Once you start, you have to keep it up.
Sounds like a fun night. I did some teeny tiny highlights recently. Still not sure if I want to commit to that whole heartedly. oops just realized my other post was as dar!
