Last week on our way to the hospital for Dash's dad's surgery we were hit. We didn't want our vehicle to be driven over 200 miles in case there was damage that we were unaware of, so we got a rental car.
Our rental car is a Cadillac. Progressive treats us well! :) Imagine my chagrin when dash and his dad didn't want that car in down town St. Louis! :) So the kids and I headed out of town back for KC with plans to return on the weekend. Our vehicle should be ready on Monday so Dash will have the rental car one night.
On my way to work today I realized something. I have really taken to the 2007 Northstar that is fully loaded. Now that I understand how the heated and cooled seats work, I have gotten quiet use to the pampering of the smooth ride and luxury it really provides. I hate to say it, but this accident didn't cost us anything up front--but it may cost us more then any other accident we ever get in because I may have to figure out a way for me to work myself in to a cadillac now! :) I have done some checking and the car I'm driving, off the lot, costs right at $43,000. I was right on the money when I told the kids it was a $40,000 car! That was before I really knew it was a cadillac! I'm not up on my cars like I use to be and the cadillac is not a symbol I've tried to know in the past! :)
Now as we were driving to work today, Chan is spotting other Cadillacs and pointing out that he didn't know that they made SUVs! We may be coming back in a Grand Am, but our hearts will forever be taken by this Cadillac we had for one too short week. :(

I've never driven a $40,000 car. I can imagine that it is hard to go back to a Grand Am
Yeah, it's not easy going back to a normal car after you've been spoiled by a luxury car.
I got my dad a car seat warmer from Amazon.com for Christmas last year because he is so hard to buy for.
I'm just glad that the car made it back to the rental place without any damage. I'm thinking that the bumper on one of those babys costs slightly more than either of my two entire vehicles.
You got the van back early?!
Wow, luxury car? What's that?! I'd love to try sometime. I've been tickled with new, but wouldn't mind more bells and whistles sometime.
