SPOILER....BEWARE

If you have not seen American Idol yet this week to know what two got sent home...stop reading...unless you want to know! :)

So, my first question is this...Do the contestants always seem so good and kind and close? I know that they are going through similar situations which would create a bond, but this is my first season to watch AI and they all seem to genuinely love each other, they do know it's a competition, right?! That being said, I owe an apology to Phil Stacey. Dude..DAWG..Man! (Just getting with the AI lingo :) LOL) I tried to keep you in. I voted and voted and voted. But my votes were not enough.

I am really going to miss Phil and the ones that are left I could take or leave, they are all good and I could see each of them winning it and would be happy for any of them in a "oh they won...cool" kind of way. The only other note I had on this was FINALLY Chris is gone. I did not like his voice. I felt that better singers were kicked out before him and while he seems nice enough, nice isn't what this competition was about. Sorry Chris, I didn't vote for you!

Oh and one really last thing I have to say---Phil had to know this was his last week. As soon I as knew he was singing "I'm going out, on a blaze of glory" I was like..."what's up with that?" He totally planned for that to be his final song. He did a great job on it. Oh yeah...and BON JOVI still ROCKS! :) I'm creating Bon Jovi fans out of my children! Passing the love along! :) LOL

What did you think of Blake's remake of "You Give Love a Bad Name"? I was impressed. I don't typically go for music that includes a beatbox, though.

Also, I was a little surprised they called this rock week. In my mind rock doesn't really describe Bon Jovi.

About the competition aspect: I was surprised Chris said, "I would go home for him (Blake)." Be careful what you say!

I did not like Blake's version, but I really like the original. I think Bon Jovi is rock...but not HARD rock. At least in the 80's they were!

And....how did I NOT KNOW that you loved Bon Jovi???? I don't recall this ever being a topic of discussion...except the fact that you and I both liked his duet "Who Says You Can't Go Home" with Jennifer Nettles? :)

Wellll, when I say love I mean it in the way that most people mean "I don't shut off the radio when they come on!" LOL I don't own any of their records, but growing up they were the one rock band that I could tolerate and Jon was cute with his long hair too! :) LOL I may end up getting a best of record now...but love here probably doesn't mean the same thing for me as it does for real music lovers! :)

Afraid I don't watch AI, but Achtungbb tried to watch the week Bono was on and he kept trying to tear his eyes out. It was kind of funny. Here he was watching a show he detested, but his favorite person was supporting it. He was torn. I would watch if I had the time.

I would have loved to see AuchtungBB watching American Idol. He really would be torn with Bono on it.
