Day off

We've been going non stop since the weekend before Spring Break. Between trips to drop-off/pick-up the kids and all the plumbing stuff we had our hands full. We still had to "clean" the basement and ditched tons of trash and junk last weekend. Of course hours after the truck took it all away we decided to rip a hole in our kitchen wall and create more trash!

I STILL don't have all the "cleaning" in the basement done. I do have it cleared out though, which is a start. Today we could have done so many things, but we took the day off. Our first real day off in weeks. We played games with the kids and watched a movie with them. We talked about our big project for Rangers that we are hoping to work on next weekend (yes, I'm helping!) We've got our reservations made and are starting our plans for our first camp out of the season. Providing the weather is okay in a couple weeks. Jadee and co will be joining us! So I guess even though we had the day off--we still did some stuff but it was a lot less intense then it has been around here in weeks.

In addition to not having plans today and kicking back the kids got a Nerf Easter Basket! So they created a Nerf basket ball court in the basement complete with 1, 2, and 3 point marks and score board! I guess the broom and duster made for good hockey sticks! :) They even shared some of their skittles! :)

When I asked them if they knew Easter wasn't about the gifts and candy they replied cheerfully--Cman said "yes, we know" I said "What's it about?" and he said "It's about Jesus died for us" and N wisely pointed out.."actually that's Good Friday, Easter's because he ISN'T dead any more!"

:)

Happy Easter everyone!

I love down days. I'm hoping that we can take one of those days off soon. It's been hectic, but I think things are going to be slowing down.

The nerf basketball court sounds like a lot of fun.

I hope the weather clears up for you. I heard it got really cold over there.

We have had family visits the last four weekends, so nothing has been done on our painting project.

We love taking days off.

Ahhh, yes, days off. We had a great time going out of town last weekend, but do nothing days are wonderful and restorative in a different way. Enjoy your camping planning.
