My mother took a train trip with my sister Tammy a few years ago. She decided at that time that she would go on trips with all of us at some point. Tina was next. They too took a trip on a train. I will be next. My turn is in about a year and a half. I am excited at the prospect of having that time with my mom. She's cool and a whole lot of fun! We are alike and different in the right spots to have a blast both with each other and at each others expense!
In all actuality, my trip has kind of already begun, or at least the experience of it! Let me explain. My sister Tina asked me to get involved in their planning. I took a look at what they wanted to do and where they wanted to go and told her what they needed. I told her they should fly because the scenery that they wanted to see was on their trip at night. I told my mom. I told my sister again. I told my mom.
Did they listen!? NO!
My mom makes memory books from the trips. She writes ALL the details down and takes lots of pictures of things that they see and people that they meet! I was mentioned a few times because I told my mom that I will NOT take a train for our trip. I don't like the idea of being in a cramped space and I don't like the idea of sharing my "travel space and time" with others like that.
After reading what happened to them, I have decided that public transportation is not the way to go. I told my dad that if mom really needed her train ride, she could ride a train to KS and then we could begin our trip! He laughed!
So I guess in two blogs you have learned that I won't go by boat, or by train....should I tell you about my bus experience and why that will never happen next!? :)

So you're left with planes and automobiles? How about a hot air balloon?
It's a life long dream of mine to travel in an hot air balloon. When I was in the first grade I knew a man who had his own and I'd spot him in the air and think how cool it was! So, that's a YES for sure! Planes--because they are faster then cars are okay if it's a long enough trip to make it worth my while.
I'll tell you about the bus trip on the next blog and you'll understand more my disdain for public transportation! :)
I think I'd like to go on a train ride some time for the experience. It's not efficient for us, though, and that is what is important to me.
