I don't know why this year I'm so ready for Christmas, but I am. I think more then "Christmas" I'm ready for the magic of cool weather, dim lights/Christmas lights, fun music (we have LOTS of Christmas records) and possible fires outside. Maybe I am starting to associate Christmas with winter in general? I really don't know, but we've all been happier around the house. We've talked about potential arrangements for the tree and decorations. I'm not sure if we're getting everything out this year or not? We'll be out of town (Georgia to see my family) this year on Christmas so, we may keep it simple with the tree and a few decorations here and there? We've not really decided yet. The kids want to decorate already! I'm still holding out for closer to thanksgiving! :)
I'm in the mood for long walks outside maybe on the plaza? Going into specialty stores that have santas and snowmen and all decked out in red and white. There's something about the smell of the air when it's crisp and cool and filled with evergreens, apple cider, and spices. The smell of Christmas. There's a smell, taste, sounds, sights, and feelings with Christmas I think that's really why I'm ready for it. During the rest of the year at least one if not more of my senses can sleep while the others do their work. But with Christmas not one part of you can sleep! Every part of me is awakened and I'm ready for Christmas this year! I guess that's a good thing since it's only 8 weeks away! Christmas ready or not--here we come! :)

I am ready for it too! You got me excited for the smells of Christmas. Now I want to plan on how we will decorate this year.
See, Golden. I'm not the only person to use "crisp" as a definition for cold. :)
I used to get really excited around Christmas. That was when it was my perents' responsibility to do everytning. :)
Early this year (in January)I happend to be on the phone with a friend while I was visiting T's family in Indiana. My friend was on his cell and hapened to mention that he was a Lowes .... and that they had 7 foot pre-lighted trees for $40. As soon as he finished telling me that he was getting one, I asked him if he could fit two in his truck!
Even with T this excited about the holiday, there is little chance that I will be able to convince her to put up both trees.
I'm still playin Hellerween!!!!
Not ready for Christmas til after Thanksgiving. With leaving early and having the final stage of the work Christmas progressive dinner at our house, I will have to get ready earlier than I normally would. But not yet...
