Weekend of fun

We spent time this weekend with the kids. We had a couple days off, we originally planned to camp, but the rain changed our plans. We like to go camping in October generally and the kids 2 days off school made for the perfect opportunity. They had 2 days off for parent teacher conferences.

We started our long weekend off with our parent teacher conferences. We were pleasantly surprised that both kids got great remarks from their teachers! We went out for lunch to celebrate! We came home and hung out and played a game that night. Friday dash and I got out and did our store run. The kids went on a long walk. We also got "boo'd" by some neighbors. I don't know if you are familiar with this or not? It's a basically a chain letter that comes with candy! We went out Friday night and "boo'd" our two people! That was fun trying to be sneaky as we dropped our containers of candy with the fun little letters! :) Probably more fun then being sneaky was calling from dash's phone (so they wouldn't recognize the number) and yelling "BOO! You've been boo'd check your front door!" We had to do this to N's friend that we boo'd because they didn't come to the door when we dropped it off.

That brings me to the next part, we caught the last 2 pitches of the world series. We watched the first 1/2 of one of the games. I intended to watch more with them, but the Cards won quicker then I anticipated! :) HA. Saturday we woke up and after eating lunch we went to the Louisburg Cider Mill. We did the corn maze and hay ride. The kids got to do a zip line too. It was fun and we ended our trip there with soda snacks and apple cider donuts! YUMMY YUMMY! :)

Then today we continued with the "vacation" theme and we did a traditional "Franklin move" We DID NOT change our rooms again! We did discuss that option! We ended up taking a couple items out of a couple rooms and rearranging. We didn't stop there, we ended our night with the kids outside with a fire and marshmallows! :) Oh yeah, we watched a couple movies with the kids this weekend too.

I'm not sure if I forgot anything or not, but all in all we got a lot done and had a lot of fun! Perfect balance for a long weekend at home! YAY!

Ah, the World Series. At least the ALCS was fun to watch.

I've never heard of booing someone. It sounds like a chain letter with benefits.

The "Boo'd" thing sounds fun to do. I have been wanting to go to the Cider Mill. Maybe someday when NJ is bigger.

Glad the kids are doing well in school. Sounds like a cool weekend.

Fun, fun. Never heard of being boo'd. We got trick or treated which is apparently fairly new here, but they don't say trick or treat- so I made them say it in English! ha
