My folks are here. They will be leaving Monday morning. My mom got here on Wednesday. We had dinner together and stayed up past midnight chatting about politics! (Thursday we vowed to not talk politics the rest of the weekend! :))
Thursday my mom met NJ. She had a lot of fun. She hadn't held a baby in years and said he was very precious and such a cutie! :) I then brought cman and the 4th grade boy home from school (N went home early with a bruised face from a soccer injury) While the boys were playing my mom said "I could not watch kids like that all the time!" They were a little, uh--wound up. :) We ate Pizza for dinner and stayed up late playing and goofing off with N and Cman.
Friday I had the day off and so did the kids. I went out to the store while mom stayed home and played games with N and Cman. I got back in time for us to start cooking the roast and put away the groceries and water the lawn. We got all that done before we picked up my dad from the airport! We took the longer route home and by the time we got there we were all ready for the yummy roast, potatoes, and carrots! (My mom made it--YUMMY!) We watched National Treasure, bed time by 10:30 for everybody but me.
Today we went to walmart, Lowes, and Negros Western Store. We also drove out to where we camp and they saw the camp grounds and did a short walk there. Then we drove the highway vs the interstate back. Dad said they would go camping with us sometime! Mom said "WHAT?, oh okay I guess!" We may have to set her bed up in the van! LOL, bugs bug her! :) We went out to eat and then came home. We ended the evening doing stuff on the computer. Dad showed us pictures of his job and of California and then I gave him some pc lessons on how to save as and where to save as and how to attach and he showed me some of the stuff he knows. He's figured out so much in the past year on the pc. He's even said that he'll do stuff with cattle on the pc (when he gets back into cattle farming.)
Tomorrow, we may go to Deanna Rose for the kids. But if we don't we'll have a fire outside (thanks to dar and roamin') and just kick back some. It's been a great visit and I'm SOOOO glad that they have been here.

Sounds like the surprise visit really worked out. sitting around by the fire sounds like fun (if Deanna Rose didn't work out).
Have a great fire! We still are unable to have on here. The brush is too dry, and the wind has blown over all over the plastic chairs in the yard this morning. Fall here is a strange thing. In fact, I'm not sure if it exists at all...
It will be interesting to see how the camping thing goes ... I'm sad that I missed such a fun time with T's folks.
I did however get to be involved in the politics discussion :-)
You were definitely busy. That would be cool if they could go camping with you. I don't know when we would be able to go camping again.
I am sooooo glad to hear things went so well! I knew you all needed some great family time together...so I did not even call you once! ;)
I think your mom is a lot of fun to hang out with too...and the only time I have spent around your dad is when we drove you halfway to meet him to get Nicky and we all had lunch at Cracker Barrel!
Ahhh...Good times!
We ended up at Oak Park Mall on Sunday. The wood was too wet for a fire :(.
I've got Dar trying to figure out how to have a fire in the barbeque grill so we can do smores and hot dogs for the halloween party! ha!
Sounds like a good family visit.
