I love foreshadowing when done well. When on a tv series I like it when a hint of something to come is there but that it's not revealed for a while. I think I saw this happen tonight on Numbers. Although, I won't know for a while (I hope! :))
Speaking of Numbers --again-- I love to look for patterns in things. I like to see how something is repeated or done. I like to see how one thing affects another, and I love to connect seemingly random things, especially when I can connect them through numbers. Here's some examples of what I mean....
When I was a teenager I realized that my sister Tina married a man 3 years older then her....just like my mom did. She and my mom are both the youngest girls of sets of girls in their family (so they were the babies) for years prior to the second set of siblings births.
My parents and my best friend from high school share the same anniversary.
August is much more popular for anniversaries for people I know then June. In my family alone 3 out of 4 kids my parents had were married in August....the dates (in order of marriages) August 3rd, 13th, and 31st.
I use to do this as a sport so much at home growing up that it drove my family crazy! :) I am reconnecting with this love through NJ. I like to see how he tends to make a schedule for himself when I am there, even without really having a schedule. He naps usually at the same time and he eats etc. Then I start to wonder, is he creating a schedule or am I doing something that lets him know that I'm expecting him to nap now or expecting him to play now? Am I inadvertently affecting him and therefore the numbers?
I wonder if the traffic lights are different one direction verses another or if they are programmed for time of day? When I go to work, regardless of where that is...it seems to take me less time in the morning to get there then it does to get home. Why is that?
Have you ever wondered to yourself about names? Dash has 4 letters T has 5 N has 6 and yet Cman's name has 8 (bummer....if only I took out the d...what was I thinking?)
Well, it's now 1051 and 4 is done with ss so I guess I'll stop now. Have I mentioned that I like the show numbers? :) I still believe that even with random things there can always be found a pattern! :) :) :)

I wont say too much here - since Mr. Pumpkin Head and Roaming are still trying to find LOST on DVD .... but T is the only one person I've discussed "The Numbers" with that has actually been able to come up with a good answer to how they relate to each other.
She initally claimed that a mathmatical patern could determine the next sequence (like those darn ACT questions) but she's since given up on that.
Her new theory continues to be correct - though it is more of how the numbers relate to the castaways rather than what they actually mean.
How funny! Today, J told me that N had 2 more letters in his name than he did. I told him to check into counting their middle names too. They have the exact same number when added together. J is 4 then 6, and N is 6 then 4. Of course, their last name is the same and will always be the same number in total.
YES, the traffic lights do have patterns set for time of day. The second light on my way to drop the boys off at school, ALWAYS turns yellow before I can get to it....even when I am the first in line at the first light. I noticed that this afternoon...that I got all the way through on a green light...and I was already slowing down to stop!
I think I am beginning a new pattern: of stopping by the new Starbucks drive-thru on my way to work in the mornings...Monday through Friday! ;)
Wait, I'm confused, is it Numbers or Lost?? Two different shows right? I'd like the mystery aspect of Numbers, but I'd be lost (oops no pun intended) on the numberical portion of the program. It just takes too much brain power.
I like to notice the dates when they line up with the year. This year we had 6-6-6. Next year we'll have 7-7-7, and 5-6-7. Unless it's Europe then it's all mixed up.
Patterns are fun! I was born on the 26th and Dust was born on the 27th. Dust has 3 6's in his social security number and 3 7's in his date of birth.
My Dad graduated high school in '69, I graduated in '96.
I see patterns in almost everything. That is why I count in fours. :)
