Halloween--It's not fun in the city

In 8 days people will be dressed up with everywhere to go. My kids will be getting to do their second year of trick or treating in the neighborhood (I assume.) I don't take them on these runs, but dash has fun dressing up with them. I am not sure what he will do this year now that his mullet is ripped? Maybe he'll be a king, we've got the robe for it. HA, I just pictured him with bed head wearing a bath robe as "king of the throne room!" Whatcha think dash?!

I on the other hand will probably just sit at home with some candy in a bowl wondering if N's friends will show up this year or not? I'm not a big Halloween fan. I don't mind dressing up and I love fall parties, especially when they are done right on a farm with a big bon fire and a hayride. I actually hosted one of these parties my sophomore year in high school. That was fun. Still, I guess the way you city folk walk around and beg for candy is okay, just seems pointless! :)

I think I will like taking NJ to the Hallelujah House, because I am not sure I'd like walking around the neighborhood knocking on doors.

This year I have class on the 31st. :(

We always took the kids to the church when they were younger. Now we know people in the neighborhood, so they go visit their friends homes and some of the homes in the neighborhood. It's not the big block party that some neighborhoods have, it's more like the old traditional trick or treating, for every house with there lights on there are 7 that have their lights out! Until last year, I was one of the 7! :) The kids and dash have a lot of fun walking around up and down the streets running into other parents and kids out for the night! Dash was the only parent dressed up last year! LOL

There's a guy from our street that dresses up with his kids. He's the one that does the dead bodies in his yard. Ought to be in full swing right now!

We're having a party the 31st, it's dress up but according to the church planners it is not a halloween party. Okay, whatever. The 1st is a holiday for the Spaniards (We don't get it off), that's why the party is that day. Anybody want to come? Not sure what I'm going to be.

I bet you go through a lot of candy with city trick or treaters. Last year I ran out of candy and had to turn my light off.

NJ might be baby Jesus at Hallelujah House. Otherwise, he will be dressed up in camo.
