Girls Night Out

While the boys are away, the girls will ...play! :)

Last night and today N and I had time together without the guys. We put on our makeup, fixed our hair, dressed up and out the door we went. We still, after an hour discussion, didn't know where we were going to eat, only that we were going out to eat somewhere! We knew that we had to get groceries too, so we decided to head towards the SuperCenter. We passed A LOT of restaurants, but none that we were agreeing on. N pointed out that we did this when we were with Grandma too! Drive around aimlessly trying to figure out where to eat! We ended up at the TGIFridays next to the SuperCenter.

We sat back, laughed and had a good time. After dinner we went to the SuperCenter. We, being girls on a mission--to buy groceries--headed straight for the clothing section of course! :) We looked at some of the new styles and joked about what would or wouldn't look good on me! We blundered into the purses! :) I refrained from buying myself one, but N got one for $1. She was excited because she loves camouflage. It's more like a bag then a purse, she can carry her Bible and Friends book in it or her binder for school. It won't replace her backpack, but she's excited about it enhancing her life and the fact that it goes with most of her clothes! We finished our grocery shopping and came home to begin our real night....

The girl party: On with the comfortable clothes (not itchy dressy ones) and with hair pulled back we got out the buckets for the manicures, pedicures, and facials! We sat and watched a movie while soaking our feet and hands. She had never had a manicure or pedicure before. We had a good time and at the end of the night we crashed around 2:30 or 3 and slept in today. We're going to cook up some stew and Turkey today and just chill out.

We both had a great time. It's nice to have some girl fun with her! I'm glad she's not too grown up to think that it's lame to go out with her old mom! We're off to cook now! :)

N's new purse/bag is cool! I've noticed that sine C-man and I got back from our campout, N and T have been pall'ing around even more then usual.

Cool!

C-man went on his first RR overnight campout this weekend and held his own the the big kids. But more on that over at the dashboard.
