Can this really be happening?

This week Cman is going to his first sleep over. He's never spent the night without N at the very least being with him. It's a good friends birthday party so they'll be pumped up with loads of sugar and new games and toys to play with all night long! I don't know if this mom is really aware of what she's gotten herself into! She's a single mom who invited 4 or 5 boys ages 7 and 8 to her house for on overnighter! Two of which at least have older sisters and KNOW because of all the stories that they are suppose to play hard and stay up late! :) :) :)

I don't envy her!

But it will be cool for Cman to experience his first overnighter with a parent who is so considerate of him. This mom is making special desert for him since he can't have the cake and ice cream. I offered to send food for him so she didn't have to accommodate him, but she refused to allow me to do that!

I really hate having to be the mom that asks for special things for my kids. I do my best to make sure my kids are okay with whatever happens in any situation and I always try to make sure that I offer to bring food for them or snacks so others don't have to worry about it. This mom's daughter is one of N's best friends, so she's getting use to what they can and can't have.

I don't mean to sound too sappy, but I was very touched by the measures she's taken so it could be a fun party for Cman too. The fact that she put my son's allergies into her food planning preparation for her son's birthday party is amazing to me. I can only hope that I can bless her and others with the same kind of consideration. I can't honestly say that I am sure I do that like I should.

That was nice of her to take those steps.

Staying at friends' houses was so much fun when I was a kid. I'm sure CMan will love it.

This is a big step for him. He will always remember his first sleepover. I hope he enjoys it.

Awesome. Sleepovers as a little boy without video games meant building forts out of the couch cushions and protecting it until you got so tired you didn't care...

I love sleep overs and still tend to get talkative at bedtime, if I don't watch myself.
