It appears my little guy has gotten the "night" gene from momma. While papa sleeps on the couch (since before 10) mama and little c have been up. Reading and playing on the PC. He left N a message telling her he loved her and sending her air hugs and kisses! (How cute is that?!) He also bragged about how far he had gotten on some math games on "funbrain".
Okay, I just took a break to throw animals at the wall! Anything to entertain! :) I have to admit that it's pretty cool knowing how much he likes and is able to stay up, but somewhat scary too because I am a believer that kids need rest and a firm believer that quiet time should start by 9. This has worked well for dash and I up till this summer. We have decided for this summer that's not a have to have but I am thinking once we start back to work next week we'll have to be firm at 10. He's found his selling point...He just has to be doing something that appears educational! :) Reading...Which he somehow convinced me he was doing with his "where's waldo" book! :) "I have to read this to find the extra stuff that's around Waldo." Funny how as he is sitting next to me, I'm not hearing him read or look for anything besides waldo! :)
Ah the joy's of being young and getting away with things! :) I guess we have to let them have those joy's once in a while!

oh, for those who are unaware, N is at the missionette retreat and gone for a couple days....so cman is home a lone with mom and dad.
How funny that he realizes that he can stay up longer by doing "educational" things. Well, at least you will have company on your late nights! : )
Yeah, I have to keep our summer weeknights to 9pm...which is an hour later than school nights...and then I let them have 10pm on Fri/Sat nights.
And what is so funny, is that the last couple of nights, they have come to give me hugs telling me they are going to bed...and its only about 8:40pm!
I used to stay up late with my dad in the summers to watch Friday Fright Night. Good memories.
A lot of my favorite memories are from late at night.
