I am a fan of vanilla ice cream, so it should be no shocker that my favorite ice cream is cookie dough! There's lots of yummy vanilla with just enough cookie dough to have a little fun without the ice cream being ruined by a topping. This ironic part is when I was growing up we always had vanilla ice cream with toppings. I don't like toppings much now, so I never think to get them. Occasionally dash will buy or ask for magic shell (his favorite) but other then that I don't think to get caramel or fudge or strawberry preserves (Yes you heard right!)
So what's your favorite ice cream dish?

I love cookie dough. I think I love mint chocolate chip just a little bit more, though.
For milkshakes, raspberry is the best.
Anything that is frozen custard...and yes, Vanilla is my favorite too!
Funny how my oldest son LOVES chocolate and won't eat ice cream unless it has some form of chocolate on it!
My youngest son, when asked what kind of ice cream he wants to order, actually replies, "Plain vanilla"!
I love chocolate ice cream! I tried Dust's vanilla/raspberry concrete a few weeks ago, and I loved it! That's my new favorite concrete now.
uh oh confession time. When Roamer would go out of town to visit friends I would go to Hen-House and get the largest container of StarBuck's Java Chip that I could find. I would watch a movie and get wired on caffeinated ice-cream! Loads of fun. I would eat whatever was leftover for breakfast! HA!

I prefer vanilla as a base rather than chocolate and then through in chocolate suprises. Chocolate ice cream is not bad either.
I've never met a flavor that I'd turn down. It's all good.
My favorite is mint chip but preferrably the little flakes that melt so you don't chew up hard bits of frozen chocolate. As a base, always chocolate if possible. Shakes, hard to choose between carmel and chocolate. I had a vanilla recently with loads of carmel and chocolate fudge type sauce in it. That was good! hmmm...wonder if the stores are still open.
