Growing list

I have a growing list of medications I am allergic too. There's only one thing worse then being in pain. It's being in pain and having an allergic reaction to the medicine that is suppose to help you.

Is it the medicine? I wondered at first, do I have dry skin? I'm itchy a lot. Maybe? It might be the medicine. At least I know what to look for now. I would say that I think even most people would be able to figure it out if they woke themselves up scratching! (No I am not joking.) Turning into a giant red fireball kind of helped me figure it out too!

Such is (my) life.

Yes, I can think of something worse...

It's being in the hospital with the medicine IV...and being too sick/delirious to KNOW that you are having an allergic reaction...until you're almost too sick/dead to ever find out you were allergic to it!

Thank God for praying friends that CALL around to find out WHY I haven't been returning any phone calls!!!! And are able to CONVINCE the doctors that I was NOT okay...even though I was talking to them (and/or arguing about ear plugs!)

Love Ya, T!!

Sorry to hear that. Was it something for your gallbladder?

I had my first case of strep throat on Christmas day one year when I was in college. I took all the penicillin before I found out I was allergic to it. I had a non-itchy rash all over my body.

OH wow...the list of allergees(not a word) to PCN is growing along with your list T!

BTW, isn't it so cool how I have picked up on "medical terms" and know the official abbreviation for penicillin....ROFL!

I've had to double up on my allergy meds here as the olive trees start their pollen assault. I've been projectile sneezing for a week and have been a tad grumpy because of the Sudafed Speed.
